Projektbeschreibung

diversity and inclusion manager - London - full time three year fixed term contract

Are you working in diversity and inclusion and looking for a new challenge in a rapidly developing organisation that makes a real difference? We're a Sunday Times Top 100 not-for-profit organisation which puts our strong values of diversity and inclusion at the heart of everything we do.

We're the Financial Ombudsman Service - an independent organisation set up to sort out disputes between financial services businesses and their customers. When a consumer has a complaint that they can't settle with the business, they can come to us. We're here to act fairly, reasonably and impartially - and our service is free for consumers to use.

We've successfully developed our reputation as a diverse an inclusive employer - winning recognition with the Committed 2 Equality Gold Standard, the Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion Silver Standard, the Investors in Diversity Full Award and we are a Stonewall Diversity Champion. We need you to take this success and use it to develop our diversity and inclusion vision within the ombudsman.

So what are we looking for from you? You'll be bringing together our diversity and inclusion strategy across an organisation of over 3,000 people, so you'll have experience of doing something similar for a large employer. You'll understand how important it is to be diplomatic, sensitive and will be able to bring people with you as you develop and implement new initiatives throughout the ombudsman.

This is a new role for us, so you'll be able to use your enthusiasm to inspire people to integrate diversity and inclusion into their everyday working lives. We want our organisation to reflect the wide diversity of our customers - you'll help to make sure it does.

Our values are central to the way we work - and work together. So you'll be someone who believes in doing the right thing, respecting the needs of your customers and doing what you say you'll do.

And what will we give you return? On top of the starting salary and standard benefits including a generous non-contributory pension, you can also choose the flexible benefits that best suit you and your life. And very importantly, you'll get the chance to make a positive difference every day - putting diversity and inclusion at the heart of an organisation which is of huge importance to society.

As you'd expect, when we recruit, we actively look for people from a wide range of backgrounds because we want our people to reflect the diversity of those whose complaints we settle. This keeps us in touch and connected - and able to see both sides of every story. We also do our very best to support those who need us to adapt to their circumstances - whether it's our people, customers or job applicants.

So if you think you've got the kinds of skills and behaviours we're looking for - "apply now" to find out more.

Salary: £45000 per annum + benefits. Date posted: 01/07/2013
