Director of Engineering

Director of Engineering A leading Boston based financial software company is seeking a Director of Engineering. This is a great opportunity to work with a very strong, senior level engineering team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space. The Director of Engineering will report directly to the CEO. Responsibilities: * Direct management of a team of 40+ Software Engineers and QA Engineers, across 5 scrum teams * Lead in the development and delivery of large scale, complex applications (Java/C#) * Drive best practices in development and delivery through the use of Agile * Mentor, coach, and develop a high performing engineering team * Work with customers to ensure client needs are well served * Work closely with the Product Management and other on requirements, project management, and scheduling Requirements: * Must posses BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent * 15 or more years of commercial software development experience, proficient in developing multi-tier solutions * Minimum 7 years of management experience * Ability to understand and work with complex code * Product delivery experience: have been key in developing and supporting commercial software products which were sold to non-technical customers * Experience developing applications for the financial markets a very strong plus
