Direct Client Requirement - Developer/Support Engineer

Position: Developer/Support Engineer
Duration: 12 months +
Location: Washington, DC

Job Description
Consultant should work onsite in DC, as well as assisting with web operations, automation, and tool building. The candidate must be familiar with typical open source SDLC, and have a strong working knowledge of developer tools such as Git/GitHub, Jenkins, SVN. Experience in Python, Perl, and PHP is desirable, and experience with Java/Tomcat, .NET, and Power Shell is a plus. The candidate must also have a strong understanding of Back End operations in a web environment, such as load balancing, private/public cloud computing, basic network administration, DNS, MySQL/Postgres, nginx, Apache, and various application frameworks. The ideal candidate will be capable and comfortable working alone and with minimal supervision for periods of time. A proven track record of system automation and tool building is essential to success in this role.
