Digital Media Coordinator Job

DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Digital Media Coordinator position within the Digital Media Operations team will be responsible for the day to day publication of Video On Demand packaging for set top box and TV Everywhere distribution.
- The candidate will work closely with the various internal and external digital media groups to ensure the accurate and reliable distribution of content to secondary platforms.
- This position requires an understanding of how metadata is entered and syndicated within the business requirements. The applicant will be responsible for the editing, completing and sometimes creating of packaged content while using the various internal and external applications used to syndicate content. Some types of metadata entry include show specific and technical specific descriptions, pre-defined delivery destinations, content windows and publish dates. This individual will work directly with the respective programming and operations teams to ensure the aforementioned metadata is correct and in line with business requirements of the respective agreements. Understanding the metadata distribution process including Provider Content Tiers, License windows, Menu Strings, Rating Values, and the standard operating procedure for issuing metadata updates is essential for this position.
- Responsible for quality control and proofing of associated metadata fields for XML distribution packages
- Understanding the common practices of Metadata creation including Metadata Updates (MDUs,) associated artwork, license window start/end dates, correct Series and asset IDs, and associated menu strings for VOD distribution.
- Learn how to use the many proprietary and third party applications that are used to distribute this content. The applications are used to enter, store and syndicate the various elements needed such as descriptive and technical metadata, video, captions and art work.
- Create manual work orders via email or OTTO automated workflow for DMO technicians and QC and deliver to clients.
- Scheduling off-air records for ingest, transcode and distribution for Video On Demand distribution.
- Tracking and reconciling deliveries to all Secondary Distribution platforms clients including the various MVPDS and EST partners.
- Understanding of various workflows in order to escalate issues to the proper clients.
- Work closely with the respective internal digital programming teams within the broadcast and cable networks in order to ensure proper distribution of content to Secondary Distribution platforms.
- Communicating with clients and internal teams on package delivery transfers/issues for all Secondary Distribution platforms.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience working with video distribution in a TV Broadcast environment.
- A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience working with metadata creation.
- A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience in a customer facing role.
- At least 2 (two) years of direct client engagement experience
- Works as part of a team; works well with others.
- Quick to respond to needs/requests.
