Digital Communications Publisher - 6 Month Contract - South London

Digital communications publisher required immediately for a global pharmaceutical company on an initial 6 month contract.

They will be required to publish content on the client website and other digital communications channels such as Twitter and YouTube and to collaborate with Customer Access external communications colleagues in the management of online issues and opportunities for engagement.

Key Skills -

* A formal IT qualification or university degree is preferable but not essential, if you can demonstrate relevant experience building websites and designing interfaces. You should however, have the following core attributes:
* Exposure to Drupal content management system
* Exposure to Microsoft Technologies such as SharePoint 2007/2010 and TeamSite, in particular modifying and creating WebParts
* Ability to work with tools such as Paint.NET, Sharepoint Designer, or others as required
* Comfortable working on an enterprise computer, with Windows XP Professional
* Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS, with occasional use of Javascript or Javascript Libraries such as jQuery
* Confident working on staging environments and launching to a production environment with or without version control
* Interest in and growing knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
* Experience customising 3rd party platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, or Facebook
* Interest in, and personal use of, social media
* Excellent understanding of web browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera etc) and their limitations
* Excellent knowledge of web standards and accessibility
* Ability to work with existing code to produce fixes and improvements
