My public sector clients have recently embarked on a large change transformation project and have a number of Digital Communications Coordinators. My client has developed a wide digital strategy within a high focus on change delivery.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- To support the communications team in the delivery of effective, timely communications using a range of digital channels promoting the aims, objectives and key messages to the clients customers.
- Working with stakeholders throughout the organisation and with other members of the communications team, to deliver information and advice through digital communications channels
- Matters of Testing blog site, e-bulletins and email alerts service, providing delivery reports and customer/staff feedback.
- Experience of working in a busy, deadline driven communications team, ideally in the public sector.
- Some knowledge of writing to Government Digital Service (GDS) guidelines and using a DSLR camera would be beneficial.
- The post holder will also need good organisational skills to make sure processes are adhered to and deadlines are met. Experience in using Social Media - Facebook and Twitter.

KEY SKILLS

- Strong writing skills with experience of drafting articles for e-bulletins along with experience in HTML.
- IT literate - word, excel, PowerPoint, using HTML pages and word press
- The e- bulletins are supported by the Matters of Testing blog site which they will be responsible for updating using Wordpress and Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience in writing articles etc, advocating the use of plain English
- Editing experience ensuring the meaning of the message is not lost during the editing process and it is fit for online delivery
- Tailoring material to suit the readership
- Experience in using digital communication channels including social media
- Prepared to travel to meet stakeholders and to visit other Government departments to share best practice.
- Occasional overnight stays away from home may be necessary
