Dietitian Assistant - Therapy assistant

A leading provider of specialist treatment in mental health is looking for a Dietitian Assistant to join their team on a contract basis to cover some maternity leave. The successful Dietetic/Therapy Assistant will join a multi disciplinary team, assisting the Dietitian/Ward Managers in delivering standardised care in meal provision.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Assisting the dietitian in implementing nutritional care plans to patients on the hospital wards
- Liaising with the catering department and nutrition/pharmaceutical companies and updating dietetic resources.
- The role holder will also need to evidence a knowledge and interest in nutrition and health.
- Experience of working as a dietetic/therapy assistant in a health care environment is highly desirable.
- Training and skills development will be supported through clinical supervision with qualified dietician/clinicians.
