Fantastic opportunity for a Sys Admin / DevOps with extensive Cloud experience (aws , Paas) to start with a superb amazing software vendor based in London. Great opportunity to work with the biggest names in Financial Services hosting whilst earning a great salary with fantastic benefits.

My client use the latest cloud technologies and offer fantastic career progression through a fantastic training programme on and off-site. They work in a dual environment so experience working within cloud is essential, as is experience within Managed Hosting / ISP

The ideal Sys Admin / DevOps will be from a Hosting background and will be currently working as an DevOps or similar for a Global organisation and comfortable liasing with colleagues in different countries. I need theis person to be the glue between the teams

This is a "glue" position and as such you will need to come from a background within an environment with multiple teams and technologies that you mould together - ideally from a Cloud, AWS, based Managed Services company.

Sys Admin / DevOps Skills & Requirements

- Helping build an agile continuous develop and deployment environment
- You will understand issues of security and threat assessment as well as common patterns for limiting vulnerability
- Understanding, supporting, and growing our development environment and tools such as Jira, Stash, Confluence, Bamboo Fisheye, Git, Jenkins, Selenium, various IDEs for Windows, Mac, Linux.
- Refactoring and maintaining our source code deployment process. Should we use Puppet, Git, rsync, something else? Come help us decide!
- Create and monitor load and capacity planning tools and scripts for all our services and servers.
- Help maintain and automate our Apache website configuration process for thousands of websites.
- Help maintain and optimize our use of the Amazon Cloud services.
- Assist with debug issues that need that extra special set of eyes ... from the network layer all the way to the application layer.
- Many other things which just don't fit into purely an IT Ops or IT Development group but need your ownership and guidance to keep things running smoothly.
- On the tech side, while we believe that good people can learn new things quickly, it wouldn't hurt if you had solid experience with any the following supporting technologies:
- Open to working on both Linux and/ or Microsoft technology stacks.
- Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu) and Open Source software experience
- Virtualization (VMWare, VirtualBox)
- Rackspace or skyscape
- PAS and IAS experience
- Puppet or Saltstack (automation experience)
- Unix system administration
- TCP/IP Network/Internet Troubleshooting.
- Apache, Kickstart, yum, rpm
- MySQL and PHP
- Git, Gitolite, GitHub
- Perl, Ruby, Python, Bash - experience on software development projects

- Mongo, Redis, Node
- Vagrant, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Splunk
