Devops Engineer/Unix Sys Admin | Brussels | 12 Months | Unix, Windows, Perl Ruby, Bash, Chef, Jenkins.
Square one are on the lookout for an experienced Unix Systems Administrator who would be looking to work in a Devops environment and pick up new skills within this space. This is for an initial year long project working with one of our major clients in Brussels.
Ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge, especially security-related concepts
Experience working with or on an enterprise service provider application team
Highly motivated and proactive to ensure the success of the team and product
High degree of ownership to deliver expected objectives
Able to multitask and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects and objectives
Strong skills in troubleshooting and process improvement
Technical Skills Needed:
o Advanced knowledge of Unix Servers and Administration, primarily RHEL
o Advanced knowledge of Windows systems
o Advanced knowledge of one or more Scripting languages such as Perl, Ruby, Bash
o Intermediate knowledge of automation tools such as Chef or Jenkins
o Intermediate knowledge of software development and testing.
o Familiarity with an issue tracking system such as Rally or Jira
o Familiarity with an ITIL Change/Incident tracking system such as IBM Maximo
o Knowledge about cryptography and/or PKI is a plus (DES, DES3, SHA, MAC, ECC, RSA, certificates, )
o (User) Knowledge about HSM security devices (nCipher, Thales) is a plus
o ORA DBA and SQL skills for performing database backups, logging, operations and issue troubleshooting and resolution
