Devops Engineer

SENIOR ENGINEER - €515PD - AMSTERDAM

A global telecommunications company based in Amsterdam are looking for a Senior Engineer to work on site with them on a 6-month rolling contract for 18 months.

Day-to-day key accountabilities:

Development of service monitoring/telemetry platforms used for technology products.

THE SKILLS REQUIRED INCLUDE:

- Strong knowledge of DevOps
- Experienced in Python programming
- Well adverse in Big Data
- Experience in PL/SQL
- Exposure to one of Perl/Python

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Defines objectives by analysing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
- Designs and develops user interfaces to Internet/Intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
- Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
