Development/Study Opportunity

My Client based in Brussels is seeking a Developer with the below skills/experience for a 2 months contract (with possible extension). You role will be to perform a technical study of the tools (SDKs) provided by Video Management System (VMS) vendor to further integrate and adapt their product. The purpose of the study will be to compare the vendor VMS +  tools with the clients own platform developed internally which is also a VMS.

THE TASKS TO BE PERFORMED ARE AS FOLLOWED:- Get familiar with product and SDK (3-5 days, it might be before/after training depending on starting date)

Training by vendor: 3-5 March (no training on the SDK, but usage of product)

6-7 March - Define scope of prototype/features to be done. That is the gap between vendor VMS and our own VMS weeks prototyping and feedback on SDK

Deliverable - Report:

- Quality of the vendor SDK and tools
- Gaps found between vendor VMS and our VMS
- Results of the different tasks (prototypes, evaluations, ) performed

THE DEVELOPER  MUST HAVE:- Experience with windows UI development apps, Win 32

Experience with Jscript, C/C++ (that's the language for the SDKs)

Experience with DB, XML,

Familiarity with video (ie codecs, protocols, )

Experience writing reports

Autonomous and good communicator (will need to interact with the existing team to understand

the Clients platform and environment)

NICE TO HAVE:- Experience in Video Management Systems (nice to have)

CONTRACT:- Start Date: 3rd March 2014

Contract length: 2 Months (with extension)
