Development Manager/Web Portal Manager/Online Portal Design Manager
Location: Dublin
Rates: €350-400 per day
We are looking for an experienced Web Development Manager/Online Portal Development Manager to lead the delivery of a major project aimed at improving the all round internal and external Online functionality of a major portal for a leading client. As Web Development Manager/Online Development & Design Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that commercial objectives are fully understood and supported through the successful design & delivery of web and portal solutions.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
- A proven ability to review and introduce key processes, standards, strategies, governance and Service Design plans to underpin the successful high and low level design of web and online solutions.
- Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with key business & technology stakeholders, strategic vendors, partners and teams, with the ability to communicate successfully to both a business and technical audience and leverage the maximum benefit and support from all partnerships.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience of leading teams of at least 5-6 design and development engineers.
- Strong understanding of web application architecture, platforms (Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS) and Web Services.
- Strong understanding of Web Development technologies, in particular J2EE (Spring, MVC patterns etc)
- Additional expertise in SSO Frameworks, Content Management Systems, Database Technologies (MSSQL, MySQL) and/or High-availability clustering (Application Server, Database etc)
This is a priority contract role timelined to commence within the next 2 weeks.
