Development Engineer Sensor Materials (eg. Electrolyte...)

Role:
Our client is looking for a Development Engineer in sensor materials for his team with team player qualities and good communication skills.

Tasks:
- Plan and execute project tasks in the frame of product care and product development projects
- Develop and optimize materials for blood gas, electrolyte and metabolite sensors (thick film technology)
- Define and improve material specifications and develop reliable quality control
- Implement material changes in Sensor Operations following quality management procedures
- Contribute to the general understanding of electrochemical sensors by providing technical expertise in material and surface/interface characterisation
- Maintain a close level of cooperation with experts in the field of process, sensor, analytics and system engineering
- Establish strong interfaces with operations, procurement and supply chain departments

Must haves:
- Master degree in chemistry or material sciences with a background in polymer chemistry
- Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in the department and optimization of polymer-based materials in highly regulated environments
- Experience with thick film technology is a plus
- Six Sigma certification or experience with similar statistical methods is an advantage
- Basic SAP skills and very good knowledge of MS Office

Languages:
Fluent in English and German.
