Development and Build Engineer

Our high-visibility client's cloud services release team is looking for a SDE to function as a developer/test/Support Engineer to validate and maintain the Build & Release pipeline.

The position will be on site in Redmond, WA.

Expected working hours: 11AM-7PM PST (approximately).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- L1 support responding to incidents and/or issues reported by the WA component teams related to the Build System
- Support includes monitoring of email aliases, automated alerts and proactive validation
- Creation and utilization of automation of management for build infrastructure including machine setup, machine updates and service updates
- Creation and maintenance of test infrastructure, scripts and workflows to validate the correctness of any changes to the build and release processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with build and configuration management
- Knowledge of Scripting languages like Windows Shell, Perl, and PowerShell
- Good communication and strong problem solving skills
- Knowledge of the build processes for C#, C++

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience working with a large scale build environment and build tools (MSBuild)
- Knowledge of source code control systems (Perforce/Source Depot), branching architectures, and code release practices
- Knowledge of test systems such as MSTest or NUnit
