Developer with Interest in IT Security

Application Security/Application Development Specialists

Locations: Ideally either Chester or West Yorkshire/Pudsey. Alternative:London.

Salary Banding: Circa £40-60K + banking benefits + bonus

The application security specialists will be tasked will ensuring security of and minimal risk to key applications for the bank for external intrusions/vulnerabilities.

The specialist will analyse and monitor IT security threats and code risk (.Net/C# and J2EE/Java) for a range of applications (web focused) across the bank, identifying risks, code defects and using tools and skills to rectify potential intrusions and vulnerabilities.

The specialists will then advise technical and business teams on these vulnerabilities and ensure that they are educated on the risks and potential consequences of these issues.

Core areas:

* Web/Application Security for Development/Live Apps.
* Application Firewalls/Live monitoring and incident/problem management
* Code Security (.Net/C# and J2EE/Java)
* Specialist advice for Application/IT Security for development teams

Someone with a background in Coding (.Net/C# and J2EE/Java) would be ideal as the IT Security skills can be taught over time.
