Dev/Ops Administrator (M19)

The person in this role will assist in the Development, Support and maintenance of the client's development environments, platforms, and systems. This may include after-hours and weekend support as part of the Major Incident Management processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Implement continuous delivery and continuous integration practices across the Portals and Online Services group
Troubleshoot deployment and environmental issues
Provide Level 2 support for Portals and Online Services environments, Including Major Incident Management.
Provide operational training and support to other team members
Contribute to continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices particularly in Agile practices.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Linux/Unix proficiency, including Shell Scripting
Puppet
Ruby/Java skills
Proficiency in General Web Technology (HTML JavaScript etc).
Agile practices
Software Development Processes and Practices

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Min 3 years experience in IT Delivery working with Java and IP based Technology platforms.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a developer capacity (Java/Ruby).
Minimum of 2 years experience in an operational capacity (ticketing and issues management)
Degree qualification in computer science or similar.
Experience in technical platform analysis
