Detailed Planner

Detailed Planners are required to work amongst one of the biggest aircraft carrier expansion projects in recent years. With the development of the QEC aircraft carrier, T26 destroyers and other supply vessels the UK naval defence market is seeing an area of growth. We are looking for candidates who have a background in the delivery of large engineering projects.

The role:

+Manage 6 week planning process ensuring viability of the plan in line with the Level 3 Network and 12 week look-ahead aspirations

+Allocate and maintain/support Material Planning

+Together with Level 3 Network Planner ensure all non-material work orders and work orders for additional work are included in the plan

+Managing work orders in line with the 12/6 week look-ahead, including Managing the life cycle of work orders, firm planning and maintain work over budget.

+Support of Lean Manufacturing, advising pending issues and developing possible solutions.

+Produce and analyse reports from IBS when required:

You will need to plan, monitor, feedback and report on the Level 2 and Level 3 plan to both internal and external customers. Liaising with project and operational teams to identify, analyse and action opportunities or potential problems.

The suitable candidate:

You will need to have a detailed and solid understanding of the planning process, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment whilst being able to work on your own initiative. You should have an understanding of Planning Tools and Integrated Business models when working within time and budget constraints.
