DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN   CR-10122

IMMEDIATE HIRE for Desktop Support Technician III!  This is a 6 month contract to hire position located in far North Dallas, TX.

Individual will be responsible for researching, recommending, installing, configuring, and maintaining client technology in a mission critical environment. They will participate in departmental projects by assisting in the development of project plans, documentation, and task execution.  Candidate will also perform daily system maintenance tasks and participate in on-call duty. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responsible for reporting suspected information security incidents to Tech Support.

2. Install, configure and troubleshoot computers, computer related peripheral hardware, software and network connectivity.

3. Plan and implement client software rollouts in client environment.

4. Evaluates software patches and determines what patches are required in client environment.

5. Evaluates and recommends new hardware and software.

6. Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues.

7. Enter support requests made by phone and email into client Help Desk application.

8. Customer service oriented, always incorporates the view of the end user in technical solutions.

9. Analyzing technical challenges and developing potential resolutions correctly.

10. Producing and maintaining quality technical documentation and reports.

11. Produces and adheres to quality, thorough project plans.

12. Remains abreast of changes in system software and hardware requirements.

REQUIRED

1. 5 years experience in Enterprise Desktop Support role.

2. Working as a highly reliable, quality oriented, customer focused, high performing team member. 

3. Windows client Operating System deployment, administration, and troubleshooting, and Enterprise Software deployment.

4. Light Windows Servers Administration.

5. Client Security Best Practices for Hardware and Software Implementation.

6. Creating and following documented procedures.

DESIRED

1. Experience with Windows XP/7 Professional, Active Directory, and iPhone.

2. Experience with Enterprise Encryption Software.

3. Experience with Dell desktop, notebook, and server hardware.

4. Experience with IP Networks.

EDUCATION

4 year degree preferred.
