Desktop Support Technician

Our Managed Services Support Team has an immediate 6+ month contract requirement for a mid-level Deskside/Systems Support specialist, with excellent customer service skills, to support our client's expanding software engineering team office in the Boston, MA area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides desktop technical support for all office/engineering associates
- Provides hands and feet support for infrastructure issues
- Provide Level 1/2 troubleshooting for desktop/laptop issues
- Contribute as needed to office relocation/expansion projects along with other general IT projects

Required Skills/Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years Desktop Support Technician experience, including UNIX/Linux and Windows OS
- Outstanding customer service, communication and documentation skills, as well as ability to interact and communicate with team members globally
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and skillfully
- BSc/BS degree preferred or equivalent experience

Ability to work as part of a dynamic team while demonstrating flexibility, autonomy and a desire to make things happen - We really need someone who is technically proficient, eager, mature, takes initiative, and is great with customers.

The work environment is outstanding, and you will be working with some of the top open-source software engineers in the country. You will be the go-to Systems Support contact for this office, so your professional skills must be excellent.
