Desktop Support Analyst

As a Desktop Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing hands-on, first and second tier technical support and maintenance for the information systems computing environment. This will include providing support for the day-to-day operation of all hardware and software technologies for desktop, laptop, and server platforms. You will also participate in technical projects as needed and utilise the service centre system for logging, tracking and communicating technical support issues.

Additionally, you will install, support and maintain PC and network software on a wide area network, as well as install, support and maintain PC and network hardware on a multi-platform network. This will include personal computers and PC adapters, monitors, printers, laptops, modems, and audiovisual equipment.

Your duties will also entail maintaining proper documentation to accurately track the status of alls service calls and to assist the helpdesk in providing a prompt response to users. You will also provide priority response to any situation as deemed necessary.

Furthermore, you will support and participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of care and services provided and provide project team membership and co-ordination.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

- At least six months' experience in a technical support position
- Knowledge and experience of Windows XP and/or 7

Additionally, as a Desktop Support Analyst, you must be capable of working without general supervision on systems and networks to install standard solutions and to resolve common anomalies.
