Desktop/Network Printer Buyer - £400-£550/day + expenses

My client is a huge global organisation, with revenue of circa £3bn in 2012 and an order book of £13 billion. They work across the defence, energy, telecommunications, transport and education sectors. My client is looking for a Desktop Print category specialist, which often falls under the Marketing Category. My client spend just over £3m per annum in this area of spend. Desktop Print refers to staff printing documents from their desktop PC, rather than via dedicated print rooms. The spend excludes paper and toners but these perhaps should be included in the scope of this work. 90% of spend is with 7 major suppliers eg Canon. All print outs are in colour (so already a definite area to save money by going b/w). The areas of cost are the lease cost per printer, printer consumables, maintenance of printers, number of printers per number staff etc. We are looking for a good procurement consultant to come into my clients Central London office and do a 4 week assessment of what savings and efficiencies can be achieved, then based on this a possible implementation of these suggestions over a 8-12 week period.

Potentially this is a 4 month project, and the start date is aimed at the 1st week in September 2012.
