We re looking for a candidate who can provide technical support and direction to high-priority IT products and services as part of a dedicated IT support team. This candidate will maintain full range of IT products and services from desktops, voice, and mobile devices to server-based applications. Provide clients with in-person with fast, friendly, and accurate answers and resolutions to all technology related questions and problems. Key candidate would be able to quickly learn the core business functions to determine client priorities and manage own workload while also working closely with other team members to ensure all priorities are met in a high demand environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- 1st and 2nd level helpdesk support, opening and monitoring incidents records, Security, and other change requests of other IT groups
- Advanced (3rd level) support for key applications including NICE Systems (voice recording), IPC Trading Phone systems, Activu videowall, Actiance IM recording, Reuters, and market data feeds
- Advanced support and server application install and upgrades for key trading application Suites, in-house developed .NET programs, and outside vendor supported applications
- Application support includes MS SQL Server DB, Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, IIS, Windows services, Windows scheduled tasks, command scripts, Unix commands, and more

REQUIRED:

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 2 years experience in Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Excellent communication and consultative skills, ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high demand environment with client and IT management and staff
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
- Self-motivation and ability to manage own workload
- Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule and 24x7 on-call as occasions require
- In-depth understanding and demonstrated experience in Enterprise IT systems and technologies:
- Windows XP, 7, 2003 Server, 2008 Server
- MS Office Excel, Access, and Outlook (2007, 2010)
- RDBMS concepts, particularly MS SQL Server
- Networking concepts and technologies
- Client Server Application concepts

DESIRED:

- Experience with VBA, VB Scripting, and/or Macro development
- Experience maintaining and supporting MS SQL Server 2008 DB applications and scripts
- Experience and familiarity with basic Unix and/or Linux commands
- Experience and familiarity with Installing, configuring, and supporting IIS, Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, and/or WebLogics
- Experience with IPC Trading Phone systems, NICE Systems, and/or Telecommunication solutions and terminology
- In-depth understanding of Enterprise IT systems and technologies:
- Business Continuity

- SAN, NAS, RAID, SSD
- Cisco Networking devices
- Citrix Terminal Servers
- Mobile technologies Blackberry, Apple, Android
