Deskside Support Engineer Urgently Required.

Our client is IT Services organisations who are thought leaders in Infrastructure Services, Workspace, Connectivity and Consulting. they have both an impressive client base and an aggressive growth strategy. They are now looking to recruit a Deskside Support Engineer to be based on site in Swindon. with occasional travel to Cheltenham. The role is to work as part of a dedicated client facing team responsible for the delivery of a Refresh project. You will liaise with both your team and the customer, keeping them informed of resolution so requiring strong interpersonal and customer service skills. You will need a solid technical appreciation of IT industry standard technologies, and preferably an appreciation of ITIL service management standards, having worked in an ITIL environment. Technologically you should have extensive desktop support skills including Windows, MSOffiice (including outlook) along with hands on experience of hardware/software issues. An understanding of support in Financial Services industry would be an advantage. The team are looking for someone who is a strong team player and able to build relationships, able to use their own initiative, enjoys a challenge, is persistent in solving problems and who is flexible.

Technical: Supporting Windows Vista, XP, 200 Supporting Microsoft Office 2003/2007 Support of Blackberries PDA's, iPhones, HP Compaq desktops/laptops and PC's

Please note successful candidates will be required to work onsite in Swindon and Cheltenham.
