Designer-Command Station/Electronics Packaging

LEAD DESIGNER - DESIGNER, DISPLAY, COMMAND STATION, ELECTRONICS PACKAGING

A Lead Designer (display/command station/electronics packaging) with extensive experience in technical leadership/engineering management is required to work on a six month contract (with possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Dorset.

OVERVIEW OF THE LEAD DESIGNER CONTRACT ROLE

Within the CSD Engineering Team, the role is to provide the technical leadership for the Physical Design team providing Mechanical & Electrical design expertise to enable the Combat System Design to be developed, qualified and installed on both in build and in service submarines.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE LEAD DESIGNER

Extensive experience of technical leadership/engineering management delivering complex electronic systems in the defence industry.

The role is based in Weymouth, Dorset - commutable from Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Blandford Forum, Bere Regis, Bovington, Sherborne, Yeovil, Crewkerne, Honiton, Axminster, Lyme Regis and Bridport.
