Design Leader - Exterior/Plastics - West Midlands

Amoria Bond are looking for a Design Leader for one of our key clients initially on a 6 month contract basis. They are a leading automotive supplier based in the West Midlands.

The Successful Design Leader will be leading a team of up to 4 Design Engineers working on a brand new vehicle programme.

Key Skills:
*A background in design engineering (ideally with Catia V5)
*Man management/coordinator
*Commercially astute
*Quality orientated
*Excellent communicator
*Microsoft office
*Automotive tier 1 supplier experience
*Experience with the design of exterior trim or large plastic moulded components.

Main responsibilities:
*Lead and coordinate a design team on a brand new programme
*Interrogate and analyse Catia V5 designs
*Manage project timings and deliverables from a design point of view
*Identify design risks
*Communicate to design engineers globally

This role is very much hands off design. We are looking for someone to delegate and lead a design team not perform the designs themselves.

It is important that the successful Design leader is flexible and able to remain calm in stressful situations.
