Design Engineer - Surrey - 3 Months

A client based in Surrey is looking for a Design engineer for an initial 3 month contract.

Role:

Conceptual and detail design of metallic and composite components and the associated tooling required for manufacture.

Skills/Experience Required:

- Experience of high level motorsport (or similar industry) metallic and composite component design
- Good understanding of manufacturing/processing methods, materials, and heat treatments
- Proven technical ability to produce reliable design solutions and project delivery
- Experience of the key workbenches within CATIA V5. ie Solids, Surfacing, etc. (Experience of the application of CATIA FEA and/or structural hand calculations would be advantageous)
- High standard of Engineering Draughting to BS 8888 (GD&T, etc.)
- Familiarity of Enovia PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) would be beneficial
- Good appreciation of both factory and trackside requirements and knowledge of racing car components/systems
