Design Engineer

Our client, a global power leader, is currently seeking 3 Design Engineers with excellent Pro-E skills. Positions are located in the Columbus, IN area and are 6 month CONTRACT positions, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates only, no per diem available.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide design assistance for moderately complex engineering assignments including products, parts, components, or portions of major projects
- Sketch outline designs and use computer-aided design for detailed design, generating parts lists and specifications

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years design experience
- Excellent Pro-E skills
- CAD modeling experience
- Experience using Ansys workbench for complex analysis of stresses and vibrations
- Geometric Tolerancing & Dimensioning and Design for casting and fabrication skills
- Machinery / process knowledge
- Stress / Fatigue Analysis, After Treatment experience, and Engine System Layout
- Engine Performance, Engine Air Handling, Engine Design, Applications experience, Engineering Release, Product Cost Bolted Joints, Lube / Cooling Systems, Risk Assessment, Life Cycle Cost
