Senior Design Engineer sought in Dudley

Competitive Salary available circa £35-40,000 plus benifits

This rapidly growing business seeks an experienced lead design engineer to strengthen the existing team.

To fulfil the role they require a strong mechanical designer able to oversee projects right through to delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

- Concept Design Solutions
- Produce engineering layouts using SolidWorks CAD
- Produce engineering layout
- Verify & develop concept

To perform in this position you will need a minimum HNC or mechanical engineering degree/HND plus substantial experience within design & development engineering.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

- Detailed design experience
- An appreciation of electro-mechanical design
- Engineering process knowledge
- Ability to conduct engineering calculations
- Good FEA skills
- Experience within a complex, mass production and international environment
- Experience in DFMEA, 8D-problem solving and design validation protocols
- Experience with project management
- Bills of materials and production system knowledge
- Understanding of consumer product design
- High degree of creative ability
