Design Engineer

Our client, a leading Aerospace engineering company, has a requirement for a a highly experienced Design Engineer, to be involved in a project to revolutionise their internal manufacturing process.

The project will require an established Design engineer, capable of being presented with an engineering problem and coming up with bespoke designs to solve the engineering issue - a Design Troubleshooter

Key Deliverables:

- Ddevelopment of improved fixturing (mechanical work holding) and tooling, and automation.
- Development and delivery of proven, superior methodologies to cost reduction programmes and new engine programmes
- Planning, management and reporting of work status, liaising with multiple teams
- Supporting development work on new concepts and solutions

Key Skills:

- Qualified to degree level or equivalent, within a mechanical engineering, or electro-mechanical related discipline,
- Demonstrable track record of delivering successful projects
- Sound understanding of mechanical principles, and the ability to learn new techniques that can be applied to solving tooling and automation problems
- Experienced in adopting practical approaches to solving problems.
- Ability to use Unigraphics/NX design system
