Design Engineer

This is a role that can offer progression, training and development within the Downhole sector, and you will be expected to have at least 3 years experience to be able to hit the ground running initially.

This company have projects globally, and have recently expanded their work to include Subsea projects as well as Downhole.

Job Description Includes:

- Generate designs, drawings and procedures to assist in the design and development of new and existing tools.
- Generate and maintain appropriate documentation to record the design and development phase.

Principal duties:

Design of mechanical components and systems;

Stress analysis calculations;

Generate CAD models and drawings (layouts, assemblies, detail, client etc);

Generate procedures (assembly, test etc);

Generate engineering test reports;

Checking of engineering documents;

Perform test build of new equipment;

Perform prototype testing;

Advising on ordering of equipment for new tools and development work;

Participate in design reviews;

Support internal and external customers on technical queries;

Maintain design files & related documentation;

Support operations by working at client sites (onshore and offshore);
