Design Automation Engineer

DESIGN AUTOMATION ENGINEER HILLSBORO, OR 9 MONTH CONTRACT

Currently we re seeking a Software Engineer to conduct or participate in multidisciplinary collaboration with design, layout, and/or manufacturing engineers in the design, development, and deployment of productivity enhancement tools. Candidate will identify and determine user needs and tool enhancements to improve productivity and design efficiencies by providing robust software solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Must possess a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
- 4+ years experience developing custom tools
- Strong C++, Perl, Perl/Tk, and Unix Scripting skills
- Experienced developing and deploying design automation tools
- Experience in developing design tools automation and Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool knowledge
- Strong software engineering skills and development disciplines
- Knowledge of Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and familiarity with EDA tools a plus

PREFERRED:

- Knowledge of developing Mentor Valor NPI automation
- Knowledge of Algorithms and Mentor Valor NPI DFM programming environment a plus
- Knowledge of PCB and/or Package design systems, processes and practices
- Knowledge of industry standard DFA tools
- Good team player with good communication skills
- Ability function independently and in a team
- Strong decision making skills
- Ability to work independently and complete projects in a timely manner which meets or exceeds customer requirements and quality expectations
