Deputy HR Transactions Manager (FTC)

Deputy HR Transactions Manager needed To lead and motivate a team to deliver an effective and efficient Payroll & Recruitment service to our customers.

Additional Responsibilities
- To support and deputise for the HR Transactions Manager as appropriate, taking managerial and professional responsibility for a team of HR Payroll transactional staff. Be responsible for the assessment, delivery and evaluation of complex Payroll & Recruitment queries
- Participate in the development of all Payroll & Recruitment policies and procedures including convergence across LGSS and respond to audit recommendations to support the development of services delivered to meet the evolving business needs of customers including LGSS, system developments and the adoption of best practice principles and processes

Skills & Experience

Must have:

- Must be educated to A level or equivalent, GCSE level numeracy and literacy or equivalent
- Knowledge of Employment law
- Competent PC systems user, previous experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have experience of managing an HR/Payroll/Recruitment team working in a high volume, pressured environment
- Must have experience of investigation, conflict resolution and diplomacy skills
- Experience of managing a team of HR/Payroll/Recruitment transactional staff delivering an efficient and effective service
- Experience of processing HR/Payroll/Recruitment information
- Experience of interrogating and updating HR/Payroll/Recruitment databases
- Experience of liaising with statutory and regulatory bodies such as CRB

Desirable
- CIPD qualification
- Knowledge of Local Government terms and conditions of employment Experience of - Oracle ERP
- Experience of development, testing and implementation of legislative changes and business improvements to HR/Payroll/Recruitment systems
