Deputy Director Of Finance

Robert Half Management Resources are looking to engage with an interim to support an organisation in the education sector.

Working with senior finance colleagues ensuring that the organisation meets its key financial performing targets you will;

- Manage the delivery of all internal and external financial reporting requirements for the University and its subsidiary and associated companies
- Provide high quality, action oriented, management information to the Universitys Board of Governors and Executive Management
- Play a leading role in the financial management and financial planning of the University and to identify process improvements that will ensure the most efficient and effective allocation of the University's cash resources
- Effectively manage and develop the financial reporting team, and support them in building relationships with key managers and finance staff across the University to deliver business focused services.

You will support the organisation's strategic decision making and planning processes whilst supporting the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures. You will ensure that both financial and operating models remain fit for purpose whilst maintaining control of the risk and compliance functions. Your role will be to lead the faculty teams in partnership with the central team to optimise finance delivery through developing robust business planning and procedures for forecasting and budgeting.

You will be degree educated and qualified (ideally ACA, ACCA, CIMA) having ideally worked within the higher education sector. You will have extensive technical accounting skills and be a proven team leader, able to develop team members both technically and socially in what at times can be a particularly challenging environment.

Duration: 3-6 months
