Deputy Commissioning Manager

One of our clients in the Renewable Energy industry is looking for a Deputy Commissioning Manager for one of their very exciting offshore wind farm projects. This role is for an initial 4.5 months with the possibility of extending further thereafter. They would like the Deputy Commissioning Manager to be able to start this role from 26th February 2018 up until approx. 30th June 2018 with the possibility to extend. This will normally be a 9 hr working day, 5 days a week on average. The Consultant must focus highly on punch handling, dealing with fabricators and assist the Commissioning Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To be responsible for the electrical supervision, electrical QC and commissioning activities.
- Manage the overall commissioning planning within the agreed construction schedule.
- To manage overall commissioning time schedule and quality control during electrical installation (LV, HV and SCADA components).
- Take part in FAT witnessing.
- Coordinate and take part in witnessing SAT.
- Coordinate and ensure execution of the SIT test.
- To ensure on-time commissioning of the offshore substation ready for handover to operations.
- Establish and manage the offshore commissioning organisation within the full electrical scope.
- Manage the overall commissioning planning within agreed construction schedule.
- Coordinate commissioning activities within main suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Coordinate project commissioning activities.
- To secure Quality of commissioning works and documentation.
- Report commissioning progress/participate in commissioning meetings.
- To make sure Quality is within the agreed standard during construction.
- To ensure all commissioning is completed in due time and to agreed standard.
- To manage the supervision team.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 5 years. project experience.

Must have:

- Good management, coordination and ability to drive solutions to achieve outcomes in a fast paced environment.
- Commissioning experience in the field of MV/HV equipment, SCADA, low voltage and utility installations and components.
- Experience with offshore substation work.

SPECIAL PROVISION:

- The Consultant must have his/her own iPhone telephone and PC with MS Office 2007.
- The Consultant must have their own PPE equipment.
