DEPLOYMENT EXPERT - SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR - BELGIUM - DUTCH SPEAKER
(systems administrator, system administrator, administrateur systeme, linux, shellscripts, Shell Scripting, Dutch, Flemish, vmware, virtualisation, virtualization, Java, Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss, Apache, WebSphere, WebLogic, systems engineer)
We are currently looking for 1 deployment expert. In the short term (+/- 3 months), this person must address a number of security and deployment issues for 2 SW products. This engagement may possibly be extended so that a number of improvements can be done to improve the deployment of the same products both on dedicated machines and on virtual machines.
DUTCH SPEAKING PROJECT
Required knowledge and experience:
Experience with Unix system administration (Linux and/or Solaris). (This is not a pure sysadmin assignment, however, so it's not required to know how to manage a network of hundreds of Servers, but one should feel comfortable, say, installing and configuring a Linux server).
Java application and/or web Servers (such as Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss, WebLogic)
Virtualization platforms, specifically VMWare and optionally Red Hat KVM
Experience with high-availability systems, such as Sun Cluster, Red Hat Cluster,
Knowledge of Shell Scripting.
Programming in a Scripting language such as Python, Perl or Ruby.
Experience in any of the following is a plus:
Apache web server
MySQL, in particular with replication, backup and restore.
Knowledge of SNMP (communication with the telecom network equipment uses SNMP).
(Performance) Monitoring (and alerting) systems, such a Zabbix, munin, cacti, nagios.
Java development
