Deployment Engineer ( NANT, MS Build, Powershell )

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role will be responsible for managing the deployment of the products. To date the products are used in only three of our global markets and while we expand we aim to deliver frequent upgrades and new deployments across more of our markets. We want to continue delivering our products to our partners quickly, efficiently and on time so we maintain our high standards.

The overall goals of this role are: - - Work with markets to understand deployment requirements
- Work closely with technical teams (development and test) to ensure functionality, automated tests and technologies are included in deployment processes.
- Work closely with Product and PMO teams to build and execute deployment plans. Highlighting any resource or support requirements from technical teams.
- Work with Support team to resolve live defects.
- Work with Development Team on day to day basis to improve deployment and support development build requirements
- Build relationships with wider teams, such as customer education, to ensure alignment.
- Automate as much of the deployment and QA process as possible.
- Own and evolve the deployment strategy to ensure we get product to market on both time and budget.
- Facilitate version deployment within internal development environments.
- Own and maintain all development environments ie Dev, Test, etc.
- Provide hands on support during the deployment plan execution and delivery.
- Ensure versions are fit for purpose and pass deployment QA, evolve processes.
- Document deployment processes.
- Create a global repeatable and configurable set of tasks and processes - one product version, many markets.            

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL:

- Windows Server 2003+.
- Strong knowledge of IIS, configuring server and application for optimal performance.
- Web Deploy.
- Scripting Experience in Powershell, Nant, MSBuild.
- Experience of continuous integration methods and tooling - particularly around TeamCity.
- Detailed understanding of deployment practices in order to maintain and enhance our deployment processes.
- Self-organising with a demonstrable project management attitude.
- Wealth of experience in stakeholder needs analysis and prioritisation of initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills: outgoing, passionate, curious, collaborative.
