Department Support Specialist

SUMMARY

- Performs a variety of support functions to support the department.
- Handles multiple projects and may assist in compiling data and generating reports.
- This position would be responsible for inputting material orders for the needs of the field.
- Contractor would also be responsible for the electronic paving tickets.
- The contractor would open up the work ticket, verify for completion and that it was filled out correctly. Once verified, this contractor would release it to the field to be completed
- Contractor will also perform various administrative/clerical duties such as make copies, file, and fax documents as needed.
- Basic admin duties-making copies, copying blueprints
- Inputting information and submitting for approval.
- Mix of admin and excel spreadsheets
- Some reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Contractor ID badges
- Paving reports
- Compiling CPAs for approval
- Material orders
- Stationary
- Tracking open service tickets
- Printing out construction drawings
- Running CAMS reports as needed
- Making duplicate project folders for BOP and Optimain
- Backup Workload Management FSA in the permitting process
- Inputting safety observations as needed
- Verifying completeness and accuracy of electronic paving tickets
- Rerouting customer inquiries when responsible coordinator is out of the office
- Answering paving specific questions from call center
- Tracking customer inquiries

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS

- Requires 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
