Demand & Planning Manager

To take responsibility for forecasting and planning customer orders and demand on the factory and the external supply chain and to provide suppliers with a clear and balanced demand forecast. This role is supporting the Aftermarket business value stream.

The Demand Manager is a strategic role involving advance planning and route analysis. Demands include stock levels on materials and general equipment onsite.

The responsibilities of the Demand Manager are as follows:
* Demand Forecasting the (aggregate) demand for the business unit
* Monitoring the factory and supply chain workloads and capacities
* Producing production schedule/Shipping plan to control and pace both internal production and the external supply chain.
* Providing these analyses to the monthly SI producing internal orders.
* Co-ordinating activity to ensure planning & forecasting data is as accurate as possible by helping develop Product life cycle data/MTBF analysis etc.
* Balancing supply chain regulators to cope with demand and forecast variances, in order to minimise supply signal variability. Monitoring usage performance and controlling usage variances.
* Support the ERP controller in ensuring Data accuracy within the business system.
* Validate MRP run.
* Own Inventory forecast and reduction process for the relevant Value Stream
* Support other Value Stream requirements as defined by the business
* Champion and lead the SIOP process for OE/AM as appropriate
* Ensuring the customer sales orders and production works/Purchase order are the drivers for the production and shipment plans
* Complying with and deploying internal management practices relating to SOF, LCM, Continuous Improvement, 5S, Root Cause Problem Solving and Standard Work.
* Ensuring ERP business system is the master database and drives the business reporting.
* To interfacing regularly with Business Development and Engineering to track new business quoting and to ensure support to new product introductions
* Owning and maintaining Make To Stock/Make To Order process (although changes need to be signed off via SIOP team).
