Demand Planner/Stock Control/Supply Chain - Leeds

Our client, a highly successful and well-established organisation based in Leeds is looking for a Demand Planner/Stock Control Manager to join their Demand planning team on a contract basis.
The Demand Planner/Stock Control Manager will be responsible for the end to end life cycle management of all products with all sales channels on behalf of the supply chain.

Main responsibilities include:
* Stock availability, inventory valuation and days of stock targets.
* Ensure stock availability targets are met through regular monitoring of results at a detailed level.
* Manage the launch of new products ensuring that all aspects of the process drive the best stock availability
* Ensure slow moving stock is reduced through highlighting possible slow moving items and ensuring that stock depreciation targets are met
* Drive improvement in forecast accuracy for all channels as well as improvements in Retail replenishment accuracy
* Build and maintain influential relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers and distributors
* Support the Demand Planning Manager with projects
* Regularly communicate and discuss any impacts on stock purchasing with Supply Chain Vendor Managers

The successful Demand Planner/Stock Control Manager will need to have the following knowledge and experience:
* Experience within supply chain demand planning environment
* Experience of demand and replenishment planning systems and processes
* Proven ability to build and manage relationships with suppliers and distributors
* Numeracy with an expertise in Excel and data analysis
