Job Title: Delivery Management Technical Specialist
Cognizant IT Infrastructure Services ITIS provides world leading consulting services, which have been vital in creating agile and flexible IT environments for many of our global clients. As a part of this team you will work closely together with our technical and industry experts in delivering efficiency, effectiveness, virtualization and innovation for our clients.
Summary of Job Purpose
We are currently looking for specialists to support Environment Management with basic Unix/Linux System Administration skills, Shell Scripting, basic knowledge in SQL database and experience in Configuration management tools.
Responsibilities
- Building and configuration of environments technology areas such as UNIX
- Managing and supporting multiple testing environments like UAT, SIT and Performance testing
- Improving test environments and related processes to enable QA to deliver on-time quality systems
- Coordinating process implementations in numerous environments
- Working with Configuration Management, Release Management, DBA's, Architecture, and/or Application Development teams to coordinate changes in the environments
- Managing day to day requests for changes to the functional test environments
- Coordinating code migration processes following proper Release Management practices
- Driving and coordinating issue resolution affecting functional test environments
- Identifying, documenting and communicating potential system problems discovered prior to implementation
Skills & Experience
- 3-6 years of experience in Testing Environment
- Experience in Linux Admin, Shell Scripting, Basic SQL commands, Oracle Database administration, Alerting tools & Citrix
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume environment
- Ability to deliver results under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
