OVERVIEW

Our client, a leading UK Retail Bank requires the services of Defect Manager. As part of a credit card migration they require a dedicated experienced Defect Manager preferably with both the experience of the financial Service Credit Cards Business and Migrations.

The Defect Manager will ensure that all defects are recorded and managed in accordance with programme standards across all releases of the Cards Programme

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Ensuring adherence to the defect management approach across the programme
- Development of defect management processes and ensuring that such processes are followed across the programme
- Ensuring correct and appropriate QC usage
- Ensuring all defect related data and reporting accurately reflects the status of the programme
- Liaising with 3rd parties where there are dependencies to progress defects

SKILLS:

- Previous experience in Defect Management roles
- Experience in the usage of QC
- Must have experience in applying quality management best practices including requirements management, Test planning & execution, defect tracking, reporting and results analysis
- Responsible for the production of defect analysis to identify trends which can be feed back into change teams to improve the quality of future change
- Ensure effective issue escalation to Test Lead/Manager, where there is a significant threat to delivery
