Skills:

To support the build out of infrastructure for multiple large-scale web applications and high performance computing environments

Work with stakeholders to create detailed infrastructure architectural designs and plans for implementation

The scope of the work will be responsible for gathering requirements, creating as built work products, configuration validation, as well as other related day to day duties

This is a multi-facet environment and would require this individual to be nimble with both time and required skill-sets.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.

Over 10 years of system engineering, infrastructure design, and support experience.

The ability to communicate effectively and maintain healthy professional relationships.

Must be very detail oriented with the ability to run multiple projects in a prioritized fashion.

Expert networking knowledge with Cisco Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VPNs

Expert in providing support as related to transport and build validation activities.

Expert load balancing technologies (local and global), preferably F5 and Citrix

Familiar with Microsoft server 2008 & 2012, Sun Solaris, Linux Redhat 5 & 6 support and administration.

Familiar with SAN technologies, preferably 3Par and associated replication and data tiering technologies configuration and administration.

Familiar with virtualization technologies like VMware ESX, vSphere, and Virtual Center

Familiar with information security best practices.

Familiar with SQL Server or Oracle and Tibco

Experience working within a high availability and disaster recovery paradigm.

Seasoned experience designing and implementing enterprise class transport

Ability to carryout performance tuning, hardware/firmware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.

Work with members of individual teams and third-party service providers to implement new technologies and to diagnose and resolve system and platform application failures.

Research and recommend innovative solutions to address company's business needs.

Desired Certifications and Qualifications:

Cisco CCIE preferred

Cisco CCNP required

F5 strongly preferred

Unix/Linux/Microsoft certification a plus

VMware VCP a plus

SAN certification a plus
