DB2 DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (MIDDLEWARE)

The scope of this job role includes all project tasks required to deliver the projects in line with project and resource planning. This includes preparation for new or changed services, execution of all related tasks, completion of all processes, adherence to professional, security and process standards and the related administration for the management of performance of systems and services.

Infrastructure Specialists will apply their technical skills in an internal customer billable services and implementation environment. The individual must be able to work in a fast paced structured project environment within a Matrix organization. Professionalism, teamwork, communicatio n and excellent knowledge and skills are the key to success in this job role.

The professional will work Full time on customer location around Amsterdam, so we expect good communication and collaboration skills. Next to Db2 we expect a professional who can work on a medior level on SQL or Oracle as well.

Therefore, a minimum of 2 years experience in either SQL (2012 or 2016) of Oracle is needed.

WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- 5 years+ experience working in a large IT environment
- Foundational Skills - teamwork, communication, adherence to company standards and procedures

Demonstrated experience using DB2 in performing the following tasks:

- implementation of DB2 databases
- in-depth knowledge of the tasks required in day-to-day administration
- experience in secondary physical DBA skill: a minimum of 2 years experience in either SQL (2012 or 2016) of Oracle is needed.
- create database objects
- database security and transaction isolation.
- integrity, availability and performance
- database efficiency and optimisation
- capacity planning, space management and data maintenance activities for database system
- configure database recovery and backup where required
- implement patches for database environments where required
- handover in operational readiness state
- Knowledge and experienced in AGILE way of working

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

- IBM Certified Database Administrator for DB2 10 for LUW
- Knowledge of Service Now or equivalent product
- Business Level English with Dutch as extra language preferred
- ITIL
