DB2 COBOL DEVELOPER - BELGIUM

LANGUAGES: ENGLISH and DUTCH

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- A1 or university education informatics or equivalent through experience in a similar function
- Experience with technical analysis (preferably UML)
- Experience with development in Mainframe environment:
- COBOL, CICS
- Datacom
- Knowledge of test methodology
- Ability to create documentation
- Knowledge and/or experience as an analyst/programmer
- Knowledge and experience with code writing, debugging, testing, use of frameworks, deployment
- Ability to support a wide range of technologies and methodologies:
- PL/I, IMS/DC, DB2
- JCL, SOX, CMMI, CBD
- Knowledge and experience of the following is considered an advantage:
- Knowledge of PRINCE2
- Experience with Enterprise Architect
- Experience with IKAN/ALM
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with SCRUM
- Experience in the insurance sector
- Knowledge of Cool:Gen and .NET are an advantage

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- System development
- Write, improve, and test programs based on detailed analysis
- Perform integration, regression and performance testing to check consistency and interaction with the other components of the applications
- Technical design:
- Translate functional analysis into a technical analysis to create a framework within which the system will be implemented
- Draw up a global and documented technical analysis
- Acceptance Test
- Support the IT team in the development of an acceptance test environment
- Support the users in performing those tests
- Critically analyze the results and make the necessary adjustments (or apply)
- Implementation
- Implementation and follow-up of the novelties (programs, parameters, documentation)
- Take into account possible interactions with other domains and after agreement of the business
- Provide technical support in implementing important projects
