Datastage Teradata/Netezza Data Quality Integration specialist

For our prestigious client we are looking for Platform Integration Specialist

KEY TECH SKILLS:

- Proficient in Infosphere Datastage, Infosphere QualityStage
- 3+ years working knowledge of Teradata or Netezza
- Extensive experience of Teradata Scripting and stored procedures viz. BTEQ, Tpump, FastLoad and MLoad is a nice to have

OTHER SKILLS:

- Significant prior experience in Data Analysis and Data Quality (Qualitystage) Improvement across complex systems
- Extensive hands-on experience (7+ years) of Datamodelling (data warehouse environments) and data architecture definition
- Proficient in MDM solution patterns and their application to data quality enhancement
- Experience with working with large data sets, online data and ERP data sets
- Excellent analytical skills with meticulous attention to details
- Deep understanding of database performance tuning and optimisations, especially within Teradata environment
- Ability to produce high quality and appropriate technical documentation

OBJECTIVE:

This role requires strong Data Management and Data Integration experience with special focus on data quality enhancement. Responsible for analysis data feeds from complex transactional systems, liaising with the data source teams to understand data structures, profile the potential sources to identify data quality issues and to identify rules to cleanse and improve the quality of data being fed into the Data Warehouse.

- Understand source system data landscape, data profiling, documenting potential data quality issues and associated cleansing rules and activities
- Liaise with source system providers to agree data exchange mechanism, frequency, format, integration dependency, volume and structure of interface
- Assist Lead Data Architect in defining Logical and physical data model
- Build effective relationship with stakeholder, both directly and via project teams to ensure timely delivery of solution
- Own execution and delivery of integration track, working with third party suppliers and driving output in fast paced demanding project iterations
- Provide quality assurance for release of major ETL releases into environment
- Provide technical expertise during design and project delivery phases
