Datacenter Consolidation Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Datacenter Consolidation Manager for our clients in Luxembourg -

Function description:

The data centre consolidation manager will assess the current hosted infrastructure and the specific needs of the customer.

He/she will then define the migration strategy which includes both technical and service aspects, define the services to be offered by the support model: hosting, housing, etc and the integration of the services into the existing service models.

This includes the definition/review of services catalog, SLA and KPI. Once the transition model has been agreed, he/she will drive the project migration to ensure the successful implementation of it.

Required skills:

o Extensive IT experience in large datacentre serving more 1000+ persons
o Very good understanding and relevant experience of technologies used in DIGIT
o datacentre (Oracle, Weblogic, Coldfusion, BMC PNET, Documentum, Redhat
Linux, );
o Service Delivery Management experience: ITIL certification and experience in
definition of new services (service catalog, SLA, KPI, )
o Project Management experience for follow-up transition
o Good communication skills to communicate with customers and technical teams
o Ability to persuade and convince people to adhere to the project

o Language: English fluent, French desired.

Ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment.

Preferred skills:

o Knowledge of ITIL functions and processes (Service desk, Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management);
o Previous experiences working for DGs of the European Commission.
o Flexibility in time and adaptability to work activities (work in shifts and on-call);
o Team oriented (supportive, enthusiastic...);
o A solution driven attitude and customer oriented;
o Good communication skills;
o Contribute with improvement ideas and proposals.
o Ability to work in a sometimes stressful environment

Experience:

6-7 years of experience in a similar role
