Database Team Lead - Oracle/DB2

Role:
Mentoring a team of developer's Oracle & DB2.
Supporting critical Oracle databases, performing monitoring and space management, reviewing and implementing schema design, fine tuning database and SQL statements.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

BASE LINE CLEARANCE ESSENTIAL

- 5+ years of working knowledge on Oracle
- 4+ years of data warehousing experience
- Installation/configuration experience with Oracle software and related products such as Data Guard and RAC on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux platform
- Excellent proactive performance tuning and capacity planning skills.
- Experience with data warehouse processes such as schema design, data extract, data transform and data load
- Strong experience with DB2 is preferred
- Strong experience in database design and modelling
- Strong experience with various Oracle and open-source monitoring tools and scripts. Experience writing database-monitoring scripts a plus.
- Excellent problem solving abilities
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering, or equivalent work experience
