Database Engineer,Strong Scripting Experience,French Speaking

An exciting opportunity is available in Luxembourg for a Database Engineer with strong Scripting experience.

We are looking for candidates with the following profile:

Education and experience:

- Graduated in Information Technology;
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience as a Database Engineering.

Skills and knowledge:

- Databases: DB2, MaxDB, MS-SQL, MySQL PostgreSQL. Ideally also Oracle, SapDB;
- Development tools: Javascript, MS-Access, Python/TCL, Bash Shell Scripts. Ideally also Java, HTML5, JSON, PHP, Web Services/OData/SOAP;
- Platforms: Jira/Confluence, Eclipse/Java EE, Unix/Linux, Netweaver, Reporting tools (Cristal Reports and Jasper);
- Experience with SAP technologies is a great asset;
- Good communication skills, open-minded, able to work in a team, service-oriented and well organized.

Languages:

- Fluent in French and English.

Tasks:

- Will be in charge of database projects and in particular to establish a map (cartography) of the current landscape and to monitor, improve and synchronise jobs between the databases;
- Will work on database administration and installation for existing and ad-hoc projects.

This position will start as a temporary contract (freelance or employment) with a possibility to obtain a permanent employment after 6 or 12 months. Applicants should be able to start at short notice or within 1 month.
