Database Developer in So. California - Contract-to-Hire

Enclipse Corporation has an opportunity for an experienced Database Developer for a 1-year contract with our customer in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, with the distinct possibility to be hired for a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The Database developer will be responsible for designing and developing reporting artifacts from the regional DataMart to support the day-to-day operations of the customer's Claims Administration department.

This will include specific data extracts for Compliance, conversion of Mainframe SAS scripts to T-SQL, developing SSRS & Excel reports to support Inventory and Production.
-

The regional DataMart has over 30 source systems, which includes SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2, Teradata, MySQL and flat files.
-

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 & 2012 using SSIS and T-SQL in a large and complex data environment.

Needs to show expert proficiency in writing and optimizing complex T-SQL queries, familiarity with Microsoft PowerPivot and a good understanding of dimensional modelling, with the ability to think outside the box.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create, tune and test complex SQL stored procedures for large and complex OLAP/OLTP data sets.

Participate in requirement meetings with business consultants to understand and collect requirements.
-

Validate the accuracy of business rules and transformations.
-

Update of monthly Active-Strategy dashboard.
-

Automation of Data Universe creation tool for Compliance.
-

Conversion of SAS Mainframe scripts to T-SQL.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

-

7+ years Software Development Experience utilizing SDLC and Agile/Scrum.
-

5+ years SQL Server T-SQL Advanced Query optimization (indexing, partitioning, execution plan analysis).
-

5+ years Data Warehousing ETL (SSIS), performance and auditing of large data.
-

3+ years Report Development with SSRS and Crystal/Business Objects.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
-

SharePoint 2013 - Site' admin and development, a plus.
-

Excel 2013 and PowerPivot, a plus.
-

Knowledge of HealthCare industry, a plus.
