Responsible for the architecture, secure technical construction, planning & maintenance of the ICT infrastructure and implementation of new systems & applications in a networked environment with the aim of keeping the ICT infrastructure optimal (available, performing, secure

Responsibilities:

Define an architecture master plan
• Draw up a master plan with the technical and architecture standards as well as guidelines and align this master plan with the company's strategy/needs and the overall ICT Strateg
• Get stakeholders and business approval on the master plan
• Assess the potential impact of that master plan on service and operational level agreements
• Ensure that master plan is followed and in case of deviation ensure a balanced solution between functional requirements (cost-usability) and risks
• Report deviations to ICT management and business stakeholders for approval
• Stay informed about company local and global ICT standards as well as market evolutions
• Ensure that proposed solutions take industry best practises and company standards into account
• Explore business issues and identify potential needs with the client
• Organise regular status reports and meetings to allow business sponsors to better understand the architecture master plan with its challenges and required investments
• Maps out conceptual designs for databases and defines specific data models
• Acts as a technical consultant (with expert knowledge) in project teams and customer meetings
• Helps management in outlining tactical projects to meet IT-strategic directions

Teamwork and operations management
• Provide technical advice and guidelines to both operational and project teams
• Provide 2nd line incident/problem management support for the operational team
• Engage with & manage 3rd party vendors to assist with project implementationscontrols access permissions and privileges; ensures correct functioning of storage, archiving, back-up, recovery-procedures capacity-planning
• Manages critical issues (Disaster recovery, P1) upon successful resolution

Project management
• Analyse business requirements, define scope, design solutions
• Manage multiple projects or complex/strategic assignments
• Present projects to the business (business case, costing, ROI, added value, etc.)
• Report project progress to management
• Ensure that the project deliverables are produced, coordinate project tasks with project-team members and cope with project issues
• Have a detailed view of all planned & ongoing projects (e.g. purpose, implications, status, etc.)
• Choose external suppliers & subcontractors for information security projects

Technical skills:

Master or bachelor's degree in informatics or equivalent through experience (10 years)

• has a broad understanding of other ICT domains and key dependencies
• Maintain in-depth technical expertise and key dependencies understands business solutions, requirements running on his/her platforms
• has a broad system-administration knowledge (various operating systems/hardware)
• has scripting knowledge
• strong knowledge of MSSQL
• an understanding of .NET development environments
• a thorough understanding of Microsoft systems
• relevant experience in a medium to large sized IT environment
• An understanding of ITIL concepts
